SANTA ANA — Portugal’s Rosa Mota, the 1988 Olympic women’s marathon champion, and Norway’s Ingrid Kristiansen, world record-holder in the women’s marathon, are among those who will compete in the Reebok Arturo Barrios Invitational 10K on Nov. 26 in downtown Santa Ana, race promoter Tim Murphy announced.
The race, sanctioned by The Athletic Congress, will be run in three parts: an open 10K at 8 a.m., a 5K walk at 8:05, and the $20,000 invitational 10K at 9:30. Mota will compete in the invitational. Kristiansen will compete in the open as she is coming off a victory in the Nov. 5 New York City Marathon.
