United, Pilots Reach Agreement: UAL Corp. said it reached an interim contract agreement with the Air Line Pilots Assn. in which pilots agreed to continue flying United Airline’s Boeing 747-400 jumbo jets. The United pilots had said they would stop flying the planes unless a contract agreement was reached by Nov. 22. Persons familiar with the situation said the agreement signals that United’s management and pilots are still trying to develop a joint buyout proposal for the airline.
