The Yanmar Endeavour trimaran, powered by twin outboard diesels, completed its run from San Francisco to Honolulu in 8 days 22 hours 54 minutes, the first craft to make the run using outboards, without refueling.
The record under sail is 8 days 11 hours 1 minute 45 seconds, set by Merlin in the 1979 Transpac race from San Pedro.
