Kirsten Dumford scored 19 points and pulled down 11 rebounds to lead Cal State Stanislaus to a 91-69 win over visiting Cal State Northridge Saturday night.
Northridge’s Denna Mulverhill led the Lady Matadors with 13 points. Bridgette Ealy and Julie Arlotto added 11 and 10 points, respectively, and both had seven rebounds.
Lisa Minturn of Stanislaus led all scorers with 22 points.
Stanislaus (1-3) raced to an early 16-point advantage, but Northridge (1-3) trimmed it to three with less than two minutes remaining in the half.
However, the Lady Matadors could get no closer as Stanislaus exploded for eight unanswered points to take an 11-point lead at the intermission.
