An America’s Cup contest must be sailed in 1992, a meeting of challengers decided in Perth, Australia. The venue will be decided by a court case early next year.
Terry Palmer, Commodore of the Royal Perth Yacht Club, the challenger of record, said the Cup would be sailed in either Auckland, New Zealand or in San Diego. The site depends on the result of the court battle between the San Diego Yacht Club and the Mercury Bay Boating Club of New Zealand.
