Santa Monica : School Board Picks Officers

The Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School board Monday chose attorney Dan Ross as its new president and gave Patricia Hoffman a second term as vice president. Both have been on the board since 1986.
The board members, who are unpaid, decided to vote at their Dec. 11 meeting whether to start paying themselves $240 a month, effective Jan 1.
