UCLA Women Reach Tournament Final

SALT LAKE CITY — Rehema Stephens scored a career-high 27 points to lead the UCLA women’s basketball team to a 65-54 win over Texas A&M; Friday night in the first round of the Lady Utah Tournament.
Utah cut a seven-point UCLA lead to one with three minutes left, but two free throws by Stephens and a basket by Sandra VanEmbricqs pushed the lead back to five with 45 seconds remaining.
VanEmbricqs added 21 points for the Bruins (3-0), who advance to tonight’s championship game against the winner of Iowa State and Utah.
