Scorsese to Act in Kurosawa Film: Martin Scorsese, director of movies such as “Raging Bull” and “The Last Temptation of Christ,” told the New York Times that he will act in a film by Japanese director Akira Kurosawa, “who’s an idol of mine,” he said. “The film is about nine dreams that Kurosawa has had since he was a child,” Scorsese said. Scorsese discussed his plans when the newspaper asked 36 people in the arts what they had in store for the coming year.
