Campbell Soup Not for Sale, Says Heir: The daughter of former Campbell Soup Co. Chairman John T. Dorrance Jr. reiterated her intention to fight any attempt by rival family shareholders to put the food industry giant on the auction block. In a statement Mary Alice Malone and her husband, Stuart, owners of 10% of outstanding stock, confirmed their “commitment to the continued independence of Campbell Soup Co. . . . We have always considered our investment in Campbell to be long-term.”
