California IN BRIEF : SAN FRANCISCO : Anti-Smoking Ad on 1st Viet Billboard

The nation’s first outdoor billboard in Vietnamese, promoting an anti-smoking message, has gone up in the city’s Tenderloin District. The 12-foot-by-24-foot billboard, at the corner of Larkin and Eddy streets, is the work of the Vietnamese Community Health Promotion Project under the direction of the UC San Francisco Medical Center.
