Demonstrations by AIDS Activists
The action of the AIDS protesters at the Tournament of Roses Parade (Part A, Jan. 2) was a crazy and idiotic stunt which did nothing to further AIDS research, treatment or prevention.
Trying to halt nationally televised parades, vandalizing churches and blockading office buildings are acts which only alienate the public and make it easy to withhold much-needed sympathy. If people who want to stop AIDS want to be taken seriously, they must act seriously and not behave like toddlers throwing tantrums to get attention.
