A Matter of Gravity

In Steve Weinstein’s Jan. 14 article about the filming of a Honda Accord commercial, he refers to the music in the ad as being Fellini-esque. Although I would certainly credit Fellini with being a cinematic genius, I don’t think this gives deserved credit to Nino Rota, who composed most if not all of the music for Fellini’s great films.
Also worth noting: The rotating-set technique described in the article was also used to great effect in Stanley Kubrick’s “2001: A Space Odyssey,” in which a spacecraft stewardess appears to walk up a wall while in a weightless condition.
