Student Says Miami Quarterback Punched Him

University of Miami quarterback Craig Erickson allegedly punched another student four or five times in the face in a fight over a girl, according to a complaint filed with campus police in Coral Gables, Fla.
Jay Dewing, 20, was treated at a hospital for a black eye, a bloody lip and bruises about his forehead after the altercation Thursday at a campus bar. Dewing said he would press charges Monday.
Erickson is 6-2, 196 pounds; Dewing is 5-9, 150.
Dewing, who filed the complaint, said he used to date Erickson’s girlfriend and had talked with her about 20 minutes before the altercation.
