Edie Brickell & the New Bohemians are making a career out of appearing on sound-track albums. First they re-did Bob Dylan’s “Hard Rain’s Gonna Fall” for “Born on the Fourth of July.” Now they’ve covered Lou Reed’s “Walk on the Wild Side” for “Flashback,” the new Paramount film starring Dennis Hopper and Kiefer Sutherland. The sound track also features “Free” by Big Audio Dynamite and a rare sound-track appearance by Bob Dylan, who performs a new version of “People Get Ready.” The latter song was produced by Barry Goldberg, who also penned and produced a batch of new tunes for “Captain America,” an upcoming live-action movie based on the popular Marvel comic-book series. Due April 6, it will feature Goldberg songs performed by Ivan Neville (“Home of the Brave”) and Southside Johnny (“Written in the Wind”).
