Nation IN BRIEF : NATIONWIDE : Study Sees Fewer Jobs for Unskilled

Jobs for the unskilled and poorly educated are disappearing, and future employment will require, if not higher education, at least good communications skills and basic ability in math and reading, according to a study by the Population Reference Bureau, an independent research group. The study, “America in the 21st Century: Human Resource Development,” says managerial, professional and technical jobs will have the highest percentage of growth, while the greatest actual number of new jobs are expected to be among retail sales, office workers, cleaners and waiters.
