Agoura’s Silverman Accepts Oklahoma Tennis Scholarship

Agoura High senior Trisha Silverman has orally accepted a tennis scholarship offer from the University of Oklahoma. Silverman, ranked sixth by the United States Tennis Assn. in girls’ 18-and-under singles, also considered offers from Michigan, Northwestern, North Carolina and UC Irvine.
Silverman lost in the Southern Section quarterfinals last year and has led Agoura to three consecutive Frontier League titles. Agoura has advanced to the 3-A Division semifinals three consecutive years.
Silverman intends to major in motion picture and film studies at Oklahoma.
Athletes can officially sign letters of intent beginning April 1.
