Lohman Heads to the Desert: Veteran radio personality Al Lohman, most recently of KFI-AM, will soon be heard mornings at KPLM-FM, a 50,000-watt station based in Palm Springs. He will be on from 6-9 a.m. starting next Monday, along with Ford Michaels, who’s also station program director. Lohman, who has a home in Rancho Mirage, stressed that this is not a retirement move but a chance to keep his hand in radio. The show will feature music, news and information and sports.
