OXNARD : Raiders Expected to Train in Oxnard

The Los Angeles Raiders are returning to Oakland (Story, A1), but as of Monday the team was expected to remain in Oxnard for summer training.
“An agreement is imminent to return this summer,” said Bob Burk, director of marketing for the Radisson Suite Hotel, where the Raiders stay during training. “Our impression is that the city is preparing the final document.”
Assistant City Manager John Tooker said Oxnard has been negotiating with the team for three weeks and is near an agreement. Team spokesmen were unavailable for comment.
