Loyola Hammers U. of Pacific, 9-3

Loyola Marymount’s baseball team collected 17 hits Wednesday on the way to a 9-3 non-conference home victory over University of the Pacific.
It was the Lions’ second straight victory over Pacific and improved their record to 16-7. Loyola has won eight of its last nine games.
Left-hander Chris Spears, who pitched the first five innings, improved his record to 3-0. The Lions scored four runs in the first inning and were leading, 7-2, when Spears left.
Miah Bradbury and Tony Kounas each went three for five.
