Nicole Williamson, one of Orange County’s top high school swimmers, has signed a letter of intent to attend the University of Michigan, according to Debbie Fleming, her coach at Los Alamitos High School. Williamson finished second in the 200- and 500-yard freestyles in the 1989 Southern Section 3-A championships. She was runnerup to Janet Evans in both events.
Williamson, a member of the Fullerton Aquatic Swim Club, is considered one of the top distance swimmers in the United States.
