Nancy S. Ittleson; Drug Program Leader

Nancy S. Ittleson, a member of the board of directors of Phoenix House Foundation, a drug-rehabilitation program with centers in New York and California, died Monday in New York City of cancer.
The vice president and director of the philanthropic Ittleson Foundation was 75. With her late husband she had been a leading collector of French Impressionistic and other art, much of which they had donated to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
Her other interests included the New York Philharmonic and the National Dance Institute.
She was a frequent visitor to Los Angeles, appearing often at various fund-raisers and social gatherings in this city.
Mrs. Ittleson, whose husband, Henry, had been chairman of CIT Financial Corp., lived for many years in Palm Springs.
Survivors include a son, a daughter, a brother and three grandchildren.
