GARDEN GROVE — The body of an unidentified man was found inside his motel room Tuesday, police said.
Police said they were investigating the case as a homicide but were unable to provide details.
However, the motel manager said the victim apparently had been stabbed.
Wayne Clifton, manager at The Best Inn in the 8000 block of Garden Grove Boulevard, said his wife discovered the body about 6 p.m. when she went in to clean the room.
There was evidence of a struggle in the room, Clifton said: “It was a mess in there.”
None of the guests reported hearing a disturbance, Clifton said.
Motel records show that the man had checked in on Monday afternoon, Clifton said.
