Mieszerski Selects First Seven Winners on Card

Times handicapper Bob Mieszerski had his hottest day of the Santa Anita meeting Thursday when he picked the first seven winners on the nine-race card before missing in the eighth race when his selection, Excellent Lady, ran third. Lap Of Luxury, his pick in the ninth, ran out of the money.
Bob’s winners were: Pop’s Ruling ($4.80) in the first, Terrific Day ($24.20) in the second, Flom ($3.40) in the third, Rainbank ($5.20) in the fourth, Beautiful Melody ($4.60) in the fifth, Bond ($9.60) in the sixth and Sumthing Rare ($5.20) in the seventh.
A $2 bet on his selections in the Pick Six, which is made up of the second through the seventh races, would have returned $2,189.60.
