Norwalk : Revised City Budget Adds $906,000 for 5 New Jobs
- Share via
The Norwalk City Council has approved a midyear budget that calls for $906,000 in additional spending this fiscal year ending June 30.
The money will pay for five new positions, including two city maintenance workers and a mechanic. The revised budget also provides money to keep the Sheriff’s Gang Enforcement Team operating in Norwalk.
The additional spending will be covered with city funds left over from last year, higher-than-expected revenues received this year, and grants, according to Assistant City Manager Sanford M. Groves.
