Texas A&M; began a coaching youth movement by naming 30-year-old Kermit Davis Jr. as its basketball coach.
Davis, who led Idaho into the NCAA tournament the past two seasons, replaces interim Coach John Thornton, who finished the season after former Coach Shelby Metcalf was fired.
