International Remote Imaging Systems reported a $142,017 loss for the quarter that ended Dec. 31, compared with a $242,430 loss a year earlier.
The Chatsworth company, which makes urinalysis machines, said the reduced loss came on an increase in sales to $1.1 million from $1.06 million.
International Remote Imaging attributed the lower loss to lower operating expenses, and said it expects the improvement to continue this year.
