Ram running back Cleveland Gary signed a minor-league contract with the Montreal Expos.

Gary, a 6-foot-1, 230-pound outfielder, worked out for the Expos at the club’s minor league complex in Lantana, Fla., during the weekend. He will report to the Expos’ extended spring training camp in Bradenton, Fla.

Gary, 23, is entering the second year of a four-year, $1.8 million contract with the Rams.
