PEOPLE : Leonard Pieroni Is Named Chief Executive at Parsons

Parsons Corp., a large engineering and construction company in Pasadena, has named a new chief executive, Leonard J. Pieroni.
Pieroni, 51, will succeed William E. Leonhard, who is retiring as chairman and chief executive May 15. Leonhard, 75, has been with Parsons since 1966.
Pieroni, executive vice president and director of corporate planning, joined Parsons in 1972 in a sales position. He headed three of Parsons’ subsidiaries in the 1980s.
Pieroni was one of five senior officers in the running to replace Leonhard. The others were Ray W. Judson, Parsons Corp. president; Robert B. Sheh, president of the corporation’s Ralph M. Parsons Co. subsidiary; Thomas L. Landford, Parsons Corp. executive vice president and chief financial officer, and Joel H. Bennett, executive vice president and director of business development.
