U.S. stock, bond and commodity markets are closed today for the Good Friday holiday.
Most overseas markets were closed for the holiday as well with currency dealers saying trading was quiet throughout the day.
The Tokyo Stock Market was open but reflected the growing character of internationally influenced markets with only light index-linked selling and position adjustments by brokers before the weekend.
“There were so few players in the market anyway, it was so quiet,” said one foreign broker. “It was more a lack of buyers rather than a flurry of sellers.”
