Willie Crawford, a former UCLA free safety, pleaded guilty to a charge of misdemeanor assault with a deadly weapon. Sentencing was set for May 30 in Division 2 of the Beverly Hills Court House. The maximum sentence is one year in the L.A. County Jail.
Crawford, 19, son of the former Dodger player of the same name, allegedly struck Edilberto Munoz, 30, over the head with a lead pipe during a robbery attempt in West Hollywood in October.
