CINCINNATI — Cincinnati Bengals backup nose tackle Mike Hammerstein has agreed to a two-year contract, the Bengals said.
Bengals assistant general manager Mike Brown did not reveal terms of the contract.
Hammerstein, a conditional free agent, shared nose-tackle duties last year with starter Tim Krumrie, who was recovering from a broken leg. Hammerstein had 29 tackles, 1 1/2 sacks and one fumble recovery.
He missed all of the 1988 season with a knee injury.
