McLean’s Cipango Is Yacht Winner

Evan McLean’s Cipango, from Los Angeles Yacht Club, was the winner of the Los Angeles Times yachting trophy at the conclusion of a six-race spring series.
The Times Trophy, one of the oldest yachting awards in Southern California, is given to the top scorer in the Performance Handicap Racing Fleet.
Winner of the Lewis G. Whitney series for International Offshore Rule (IOR) ratings was Amante, sailed by Mel and Bud Richley of Lido Isle Yacht Club.
The Todd Pacific series for PHRF boats under 30 feet was won by Declasse, skippered by Dixon Hall, Cabrillo Beach Yacht Club.
