Shareholders Back Exxon Management: Exxon Corp., widely criticized for the Valdez oil spill, won a vote of confidence from shareholders who overwhelmingly rejected six resolutions asking the company to do more to protect the environment. Exxon’s environmental record dominated the meeting, with most speakers supporting the resolutions. But when the votes were counted, no proposal received as much as 10% of the vote. Separately, Exxon said it planned to introduce reformulated, unleaded gasoline in more than 40 markets in 20 Gulf and East Coast states starting in June.
