The recent theft from the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston has art museum officials all over the county nervous. Museums in Orange County have their permanent collections insured, but directors and curators surveyed unanimously agree that it is impossible to cover full value. And, for obvious reasons, they will not comment on the value of their permanent collections. The numbers below, indicate the insurance taken on the most valuable traveling exhibits that have appeared at the various museums.
