An Iranian delegation will meet in Dublin, Ireland, on Wednesday with European Community officials to discuss Mideast hostages and other issues.
The meeting, to be held in Dublin Castle, will take place during a meeting of political directors of the 12 European Community nations. The Iranians will meet a “troika” comprised of political directors from France, Ireland and Italy--the past, present and future holders of the rotating Common Market presidency.
The meeting was requested by the Iranians and the Western hostages held in Lebanon will “certainly be on the agenda,” said an Irish government spokesman. In addition to six Americans, Pro-Iranian Lebanese terrorists are believed to hold citizens of Britain, Ireland and Italy, all EC members.
