Three teen-agers were arrested Thursday on suspicion of stealing a videocassette recorder from a Simi Valley elementary school.
Lisa Delong of Simi Valley, Steven Pratt of Woodland Hills and Marcus Covas of Woodland Hills, all 19, were arrested on burglary charges, said Lt. Bob Robbins of the Simi Valley Police Department.
A neighbor who lives near Atherwood Elementary School, 2350 Greensward St., called police early Thursday to report seeing three people running along the school’s roof, Robbins said.
When police arrived at the school, they found the teen-agers driving out of the parking lot in a car with its headlights turned off.
Police searched the school and discovered a broken window in one of the classrooms and a videocassette recorder missing, Robbins said.
The recorder was found in the suspects’ car, the officer said.
Delong is being held in lieu of $10,000 bail in the Ventura Jail, a jail spokesman said.
Pratt is being held in lieu of $10,488 bail in the East Valley Sheriff’s Station. Covas was released from the East Valley Sheriff’s Station.
