P.M. BRIEFING : Paris OKs United Airlines Flights
- Share via
PARIS — The French government announced today that it has agreed to allow United Airlines to operate daily non-stop flights between Chicago and Paris beginning Aug. 1.
This approval, coupled with the U.S. Department of Transportation’s authority granted to United earlier this year, clears the way for United to inaugurate service to its second European city this summer.
Last week, United inaugurated the first flights to Europe in the company’s 64-year history. The nonstop flights link both Chicago and Washington with Frankfurt on a daily basis.
United is pursuing the right to link Washington with Paris at the earliest possible date.
