Maxicare Gets Court Approval: Maxicare Health Plans Inc. said the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Santa Ana granted approval for the company to seek agreement from its creditors and shareholders on a proposed plan of reorganization. The Los Angeles-based health maintenance organization, which filed for Chapter 11 protection in March of 1989, said a creditor’s committee approved the plan.
