Somehow, George Michael’s junior partner from Wham! got it into his head that he could launch a solo career as the new David Lee Roth. Crank out that loud pop-metal. Put lots of lust and animal spirits into the songs. Show ‘em that you’re really baaad . Indeed, he is. Ridgeley’s singing is anemic, the arrangements are formulaic, and the songs tend toward mechanical recountings of our hero’s bed encounters. Andrew, we don’t want your sex.
