COSTA MESA — A father was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after his 34-year-old son was stabbed after an argument between the two men, police said.
The son, Paul Lee, was listed in stable condition Saturday at Western Medical Center-Santa Ana, police said.
His father, Chong Lee, 67, of Costa Mesa, was being held at the Costa Mesa jail in lieu of $250,000 bail.
A Costa Mesa police spokesman said the stabbing occurred about 6:45 p.m. Friday at the son’s home at 2700 Peterson Place.
The father accused his son of not inviting him to dinner, then grabbed a butcher’s knife and allegedly stabbed the younger Lee in the ribs, police said.
