Fan Leaving Concert Hit by Car, Killed

IRVINE — A man walking down the middle of a traffic lane on Irvine Center Drive was struck from behind and killed Friday night in concert traffic departing nearby Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre.
Police identified the dead man as Michael Rubio, 19, of Sylmar. Officers said he was struck by a car driven by Patricia Maureen Feldt, 18, of Cypress.
Police said it did not appear that Feldt had been speeding. They said that “alcohol may be a factor” in the accident but provided no details.
