Lakewood : Mayfair Park Renovation Is Year’s Big Building Project
- Share via
Mayfair Park revitalization is the largest capital spending project in Lakewood’s budget this year.
The city’s oldest and most-used park, Mayfair is at South Street and Clark Avenue. Everything from the swimming pool changing rooms to soccer field lighting will be refurbished at a cost of $4.4 million over three years.
This year, spending on the park project will total $1.8 million, with $1.3 million coming from Redevelopment Agency funds.
As it has done in the past, Lakewood recently adopted a two-year spending plan. For 1990-91, the budget is $30.2 million. For 1991-92, it is $30.1 million.
