France Tests A-Bomb

PARIS — France exploded a 35-kiloton nuclear bomb at its underground Pacific test site Wednesday, the Defense Ministry announced. The explosion was the second in just over two weeks and the fourth since President Francois Mitterrand pledged to be more open about the test program.
