Foster Holds Off Kingdom by .02 in East Berlin Meet

Greg Foster defeated two-time Olympic champion Roger Kingdom in the 110-meter hurdles in an international track and field meet Wednesday in East Berlin.
Foster, generally a faster starter than Kingdom, had a yard lead by the second hurdle and finished in 13.27 seconds. Kingdom followed in 13.29.
Kenny Harrison soared 58 feet 4 1/2 inches in the triple jump, seven inches off Willie Banks’ world record set five years ago.
