A 35-year-old man carrying a briefcase stole an undisclosed amount of cash from a Ventura bank, police said.
The man, who was carrying a handgun in his waistband, entered County Bank at 1860 S. Victoria Ave. about 1:13 p.m. Wednesday and waited for the customers to leave before approaching a teller with a demand note, said Sgt. Robert Anderson of the Ventura Police Department.
After receiving the money, the man fled on foot through the rear exit. Police and the FBI are searching for a white male about 5 feet, 6 inches tall with dark hair, green eyes and a mustache. The suspect was wearing sunglasses, a light-green shirt and a light-colored jacket, Anderson said.
