10 More Kidnap Calls Reported to Authorities

At least two more San Gabriel Valley women reported receiving telephone calls Friday from a mysterious caller who tells wives he is holding their husbands at gunpoint.
The calls were placed between 7:30 and 8 a.m. to women in Altadena and La Crescenta, sheriff’s officials said.
In addition, officials in Arcadia, Glendora, Monrovia, Pasadena and Temple City said eight women Friday reported receiving similar calls over the last several months. The caller, who says he has kidnaped the husbands and demands ransom, is believed to have victimized more than 50 women since April.
