Man, 19, Found Shot to Death in Desert

A man driving an off-road vehicle in a rural desert area near Palmdale on Friday discovered the body of a 19-year-old Los Angeles man who had been shot, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reported. No arrests were made.
Deputies said the body of Jimmie David Guerin was discovered about 9:45 a.m. off Barrel Springs Road near Pearblossom Highway in an unincorporated area just south of Palmdale.
He was found on the ground next to a car that was parked off the road. Investigators said the car apparently belonged to Guerin. It is not known how long he had been dead.
