Troops Wound 36 Gaza Palestinians

JERUSALEM — Troops on Friday shot and wounded 36 rioting Palestinians in the Israeli-occupied Gaza Strip after Muslim prayer services commemorating the killing of seven Arabs by an Israeli gunman two months ago, Arab hospital officials said.
It was the highest one-day casualty toll in Gaza since a week of riots sparked by the murders of the seven, all Gaza laborers waiting for work, near Tel Aviv on May 20.
Troops and demonstrators clashed throughout the area Friday. However, all the wounded were in the Rafah refugee camp. The army said it was checking reports of clashes in Rafah.
