Dukes Face San Antonio in Key Match

The Newport Beach Dukes will play the San Antonio Racquets at 7:30 tonight at the John Wayne Tennis Club in Newport Beach in a match important to the playoff hopes of both teams.
With four days remaining in Team Tennis’ regular season, San Antonio, the Dukes and Sacramento are battling for the second and third West Division playoff spots. Going into Wednesday night’s games, San Antonio was 7-3 and Sacramento 7-4. The Dukes, also 7-4, were idle Wednesday.
The Dukes will play host to the first-place Los Angeles Strings (10-1) at 7 p.m. Friday, and will finish their inaugural season with a match Saturday in Sacramento.
