I very much enjoyed your Aug. 5 cover story, “Anchored in L.A.,” by Lauren Lipton. And, while I realize space limitations precluded comments from every Los Angeles anchor, I think there was a glaring omission around the 18 you did choose to mention. As a former local televison news anchor, I feel that most, if not all, of the anchor attributes cited could also be ascribed to a man the article failed to include, Channel 2’s Chris Conangla. When it comes to combining professionalism and credibility with a pleasing manner and an unassuming apparent lack of “anchor ego,” I feel Conangla has no peer in L.A. or any market.
